Ray Ming博士是University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign的植物生物系教授，Tropical Plant Biology杂志的共同主编，Genome Insights和Journal of Systematics and Evolution杂交的编委，在番木瓜基因组测序和性染色体起源、进化等研究领域造诣深厚，近年来在Nature、Genome Research、PNAS、Plant Cell、Plant J、Plant Physiology等刊物上发表论文30余篇。
